I was at the Dante's a week ago and had a slice of pizza with broccoli rabe. The slice was great and a must try. Staff were polite and helpful. I had to return again today for lunch special. Ordered chicken marsala with angel hair pasta and it was truly amazing. You get soup or salad with entree. Definitely a must try for everyone.
This sweet spot is amazing. The food is authentic and delicious. The pricing is very reasonable. Highly recommended!!!
I'm so happy we found Dante's! I am vegetarian and gluten free, which makes it tough to find a nice place to enjoy dinner. Dante's offers gluten free eggplant parm and gluten free raviolis. Their sauce is really good and my kids loved their pizza as well. We will definitely be back!
I took my Volleyball team there Sunday to celebrate a great Rec season. They are extremely accommodating and let us shuffle tables to make everyone fit. Pizza was fantastic as always and we had a great time. Highly recommend.
Reliable delicious Italian food. Always fresh and perfectly prepared. Classic New York style Italian, they have every dish and excellent pizza.
I have been going to Dante's for over thirty years. The prices are reasonable. Josephine runs a classic NY style comfortable trattoria with an on-time takeout counter that seems to always be staffed by pleasant hard working young people.
Get some when you are hungry!!
It's pizzeria with good homestyle cooking. Great for takeout, they have their own delivery service.
Delicious and consistent Italian fare. A legitimate and tasty meal. We came here for two family gatherings and each time we enjoyed every flavor. They were also flexible on serving a meal with some dietary restrictions.
This is strictly regarding takeout:
Lady that answers my calls is always graciously polite
Delivery guys are just as graciously polite
I haven’t ordered everything on the menu, however I have ordered ALOT of items (different apps, entrees, sandwiches and pies) and everything is always properly packed and delicious
Highly recommend👌
Great place to eat! Only wish there was more parking. The owners are the nicest people. And seriously, this is THE BEST italian food in mahopac. Dantes has been a staple here for more than 30 years.
Great food. Can be noisey due to lack of sound management of room/wall materials. Vegetarian options: Veg. choices Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly.
Dined there many times, food is always great. Try Salmon on bed of garlic spinach. Soups are good too and salads too. Parking: Plenty Wheelchair accessibility: Fair with help with double doors.
Not a long wait AT ALL, food was hot and delicious!
Went here on Saturday May 13th, as a party of 20, after a funeral at Yorktown Funeral Home. We went towards the back, which is their party room. Food took an awfully long time to cook, but maybe it seemed longer because we were hungry, and it was busy for mother's Day weekend. Appreciate them for accommodating us, as many other places were booked. Because we were in the party room, it was a limited menu meal- so only 3 options were listed and available. The training server gave us a hard time because he didn't know if the meal came with anything, nor explained the menu. it was also our first time here, so apologies for not knowing the menu! Other server seemed a bit nasty too, but someone in our party wanted their meal to go, and probably talked to the manager, and the server was better after that. We started with an appetizer of fried mosseralla, fried zucchini, eggplant parm, and clams. We had to ask what the food was when it first came out though. It's important because what if someone had a fish allergy and didn't want the eggplant touching it? we also got salad. I asked for my dressing on the side, and got it when it was ready, but the server was kinda nasty about it. I put my dressing on the side because sometimes there is too much dressing! the dressing was delicous though. We also were served Penne ala vodka, which was pretty good. As far as our entrees, we had a choice of chicken parm, flounder franchuze, and steak. many ordered the steak and the chicken parm. I ordered the fish, however, it would help to explain what the dish looks like, what it comes with, including any opinions like is it cheezy? i liked my fish, but it was kind of salty. i ate all of the string beans and the fish though. the potato croquet that was served was very cheezy, didn't like it, perhaps would have preffered more string beans if it was offered. Finally, we were served some pasteries like carrot cake, something that looked like an eggclair, chocolate cake, neopolitan, and some coffee. again, would have helped explaining what the food is, some is obvious but others, eh. Anyways, overall pretty good food, and maybe sometime we'd check it out again to order things from their regular menu.
Best old school Napolitano ristorante in the tri-town area. No frills, no special concoctions to attract millenials. Your choice meat 5 ways, choice of pasta 10 ways and your choice of sauce 20 ways. A few genius combinations that are fire 100% but the proof is in the pudding. Pizza and entrees can't be beat by even the more fancy spots in Central pac. Giuseppina e Pasquale know the business better than the Bx competitors
Dante’s has great pizza. A classic NY pie that has all the characteristics of what old school pizza should have. The only reason I can’t go five stars is consistency, which is huge for me. I need it to be great everytime, not hit or miss. Other than that, I did have a great pizza experience at Dante’s. I still recommend it, and hopefully you catch them on a good day and have the same experience I did.
Loved the pizza. Best customer service. #1 garlic knots in the area.
As longtime customers of Dante’s, we have only accolades to say about this restaurant. Josephine takes the best care of her patrons, serving delicious, reasonably priced, made to order pizza and dishes. There’s always a wide selection. We eat in, take out and have gotten catering for parties, always receiving excellent food. Vegetarian options: So many choices Kid-friendliness: This is and has always been a very kid friendly place to eat. Parking: Excellent, abundant parking Dietary restrictions: They can make anything gluten-free.

Something good. Easy 5 stars. When it is good it is good.
Always friendly, great atmosphere, great food reasonably priced!
The Pizza is amazing, So much so that I even eat the crust! Usually I don’t care for the crust. It has the right amount of salt and taste to the marinara. The interior is very clean and bistro quality as well. Lastly too, the prices are great.
Great family owned restaurant, wonderful people, they go out of their way to make you happy, food is great
I was very happy dining at this restaurant. First time here and will be coming back for sure. This place makes me feel like I am eating Italian food in the bronx again. Large portions, family run, clean and good service. Very hidden from the main road but also worth the trip!
